Black Tie
After many months of designing, scraping, then redesigning various themes for this blog, I have settled on what I call ‘Black Tie’. This silk wonder is still having the last creases wrinkled out of it, so please excuse the clutter if you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer.
We are working to make this theme one-hundred percent compatible with every browser and Microsoft Internet Explorer is last on the list. Outside of bug fixing for Internet Explorer, I will also be playing with the colour scheme to try and optimise the tricky white on black (or lighter-grey on darker-grey) to make reading as comfortable as possible.
For reference, this is the fourteenth design for the blog and in the end I was getting bored. It came down to the simple fact that if I could stand it in a months time, then it will live. If I hate it, I’ll make another one. One good thing this process has taught me is how to create templates for WordPress, which I didn’t know previously.
Please leave any comments about it, good or bad.
