An old friend used to call the winter solstice ‘the darkest day’, which I always thought was a rather depressing view of it, but completely accurate none-the-less. The good news is that the amount of daylight begins increasing again from today, which is especially good news if you suffer from SAD syndrome like myself.
However today also marks the last post of the year here, so until 2007 let me wish you many seasonal returns. If you’re at the Warehouse Project we’ll see you along with several thousand others to wave goodbye to the venue on the 1st January 2007.

Part two: Don’t look back in anger
Christmas 2005 was less enjoyable than I was hoping. Being forced to resign two weeks earlier obviously put a strain on the holiday finances, but more importantly the mortgage for our new property was in jeopardy. I decided to ignore everything and just try and ride the last weeks of December as best I could, then start afresh in January.

Yes, there are now 25 days until Christmas and one of the things I always mean to do, but always forget, is send out my cards to far off friends and family. But sending one through the post is so last century and the majority of web animated cards are not great.
Luckily, a new site has come to the rescue. Jo and Joe cards supply very high quality animated cards with beautifully composed music tracks. To send a card, you must register and pay an annual fee of £9.00. Just under a tenner for the quality and ability to send endless cards for any occasion, isn’t bad at all.
